recording stand by state. It also indicates that the recording
level will be set using the automatic gain control (AGC).
At this point you are ready to record to the SD card using the
built in microphone. If you do not want to record at this time,
press the Up key to exit from recording stand by.
16.4. Getting information about your SD card or USB.
Whatever type of media you intend to record on, you may wish to
check the status of the SD card or USB from time to time. You can
get information about the SD card or USB card as follows:
With the SD card or USB card inserted, ensure that
PLEXTALK is switched to the appropriate media.
Press the Menu key once to access the Main Menu.
Use the Left or Right key to go to the "Media Management"
option and select it by pressing the Play/Stop key.
Use the Left or Right key to go to the "Media and title
Information" option and select it by pressing the Enter key.
PLEXTALK will announce the type of media, the used space in
the title or album, the free space on the SD card or USB media
and, in the case of SD card, whether it has been locked or not.
When you have noted the relevant information, press the
Play/Stop key to exit the menu system.
NOTE: Some of the information may not be spoken depending on
the status of your SD card or USB media. For example, if you have
inserted a finalised disc as external USB CD media, because there is
no available space on the disc, this information will not be given.
16.5. General recording tips.
The quality of your recording will be affected by many factors. This
