SECURITY DEVICES
ONBOARD THE HEATER
If the pilot flame goes out, refer to the system fault section (page 33 - ANOMALIES, POSSIBLE CAUSES, and
REMEDIES) and follow the directions; if for any reason the heater is extinguished, the heater is safely taken from the
safety thermocouple placed on the pilot: the thermocouple acts quickly on the valve tap, avoiding any gas leakage.
Even in the case of a lack of gas due to the exhaustion of the cylinder, for example, the safety system acts on the cock
by blocking the gas output to connect the new cylinder.
In addition to the flame detection thermocouple placed on the ignition pilot, which sends the gas circuit in block when
the heater is turned off due to lack of gas or accidentally, there is also a mechanical element called ANTI TILT: this
device automatically stops the gas leakage by turning off the burner itself, if the heater is inclined or an accidental
overturn occurs. In this type of heaters this safety is fundamental and expressly required by current legislation.
To turn on the heater again, it is necessary to repeat the normal ignition procedure (page 31 - IGNITION). For
accidental shutdowns or for gas tank depletion, repeat the ignition procedure, allowing a few minutes to pass from the
previous one.
N.B. - Avoid consecutive ignition attempts
: If the heater has problems with it, check that all the above operations
have been respected and performed in a positive way; Then in the event of a failure, contact the manufacturer
WARNINGS FOR GAS TANK REPLACEMENT
The gas tank with special pressure reducer guarantees a constant pressure in mbar at the burner depending on the
country of use. This pressure allows the SIABS KALIENTE, SOLFLAME flame heater to generate a flame inside the glass
cylinder with a constant height to the maximum / minimum power.
During the emptying phase, some tanks no longer guarantee the constant pressure of when they were pines, creating
a potential working problem at the heater burner. Also at terminal stage (for residual bottoms) some tanks tend to
dirty the glass cylinder is the gas burner.
IMPORTANT:
If there is a significant decrease in flame height at the maximum / minimum power, it is
MANDATORY to replace
the gas tank to avoid any technical problem of operation
.
DIRTY BURNER WARNINGS
Gas tanks tend to dirty the glass cylinder, the flame burner, and the ignition pilot. It is very important to keep the
burner unit clean, since dirt can cause the flame to fall and burner malfunction. In extreme cases of dirt on the burner
surface can also generate flame retardation.
WARNING FOR IGNITION
For the ignition phase, observe the instructions in this manual carefully. If the flame heater is switched off,
let it pass
for at least 90 seconds
before proceeding with a new ignition. This period is sufficient for the flame retardant
thermocouple to return to its natural position and the glass cylinder empties the products of the previous combustion.
WARNING:
Do not obstruct the ventilation holes of the gas tank housing.
HOW TO CHECK THE TIGHTNESS OF THE CONNECTION:
If it is necessary, use the commonly available foam to check that the gas connections are tight and that no gas
leakage occurs.
