Remedy
The device is receiving
no measured values
within a range of at least
90° (maximum measur‐
ing range of 29.9 m)
and is therefore not
detecting any obstacles
present there, for exam‐
ple building walls.
b
For correct functioning of the safety laser
scanner, always ensure that measured values
are received within a range of 90°; this range
can be moved as required within the scan
range.
Device is dazzled
b
Check whether the device is being dazzled by
an external light source, e.g., headlight,
infrared light sources, stroboscopic light, sun
etc.
b
If necessary, re-mount the device.
Temperature error. The
operating temperature
of the device is outside
the permitted range.
b
Check whether the device is being operated as
per the permissible ambient conditions.
Invalid configuration of
the EDM
b
Check that the machine-side EDM is con‐
nected correctly.
The addresses of both
the host device and the
guest device may have
been set to guest.
A device connected via
EFI or the connection to
the device is defective
or disrupted.
b
Remove the jumper on the host device.
b
Check the connected device and the connec‐
tion to this device.
Undervoltage of the sup‐
ply voltage
b
Check the power supply unit and the connect‐
ing cables.
There is a short-circuit
between the input for
the control switch for
restart or reset and
another input or output.
b
Check the wiring for cross-circuits.
Input signal for a non-
defined monitoring case
b
Check the path of the vehicle.
Or:
b
Check the operating process of the monitored
machine or system.
b
If necessary, check the configuration of the
monitoring cases using the CDS.
Incorrect sequence
when switching the mon‐
itoring cases
Incorrect operation of
the control inputs
b
Check the operation of the digital control
