Encoder types
Ruler3000 supports the following encoder types:
•
RS-422 (5V): Two differential channels (A+/A- and B+/B-) are used as input from
the encoder to the camera. The signal swing is 5 V. The maximum encoder fre‐
quency is 2 MHz.
•
HTL (24 V): Two single-ended channels (A and B) are used. The signal swing is 24
V. The maximum encoder frequency is 400 kHz.

Connecting a CDB650-204
The
Connection Device Basic
(CDB) offers options for quickly connecting one sensor, via
host PCs or PLCs, in accordance with industrial standards. Both the sensor and the
connection module meet all IP 65 enclosure rating requirements for dust and water
spray protection.
A 2A fuse is included in the CDB. If another connection method is used, a 2A fuse
needs to be added to the installation.
