Turn the hand wheel of the filter element counterclockwise until the latch is unlocked.

Swing the latch to the side.

Pull the filter element (
) out by the handle.

Position the filter element in a safe place and allow to cool down.
Clean the filter housing:

Inspect the interior of the filter housing.
If cleaning is necessary:

Remove coarse dirt. Look for displaced O-rings.

If necessary clean the interior and/or blow out carefully with instrument air (not with
high pressure).
Clean the filter element:
Fit a clean filter element:

Clean the sealing surface on the face side of the filter housing.

Insert the filter element into the filter housing. Pay attention to the correct position of
the sealing rings.

Swing the latch to the locking position

Tighten the hand wheel clockwise by hand until the filter is gas-tight. Do not use tools.
Deactivate the “Filter change” status:

Open the “Filter change” menu again (Main menu

The sample gas filter is heated (approx. 15 minutes).

Measurement mode is then automatically reactivated.
CAUTION:
Hazards resulting from a leaky gas path
●
If the process gas is combustible:
A leaking sample gas filter can cause an
explosion.
●
If the process gas constitutes a health hazard:
A leaking sample gas filter
can result in damage to health.
●
A leaky sample gas filter can cause incorrect measured values.
Replace sealing rings which are damaged or deformed with intact rings.
During reassembly of the filter, ensure that the filter does not leak.
