Terminal Modules (Accessory)
7.2.4
Installation
1
Secure the terminal module to a mounting rail.
2
Connect the 37-pole plug connector of the terminal module with the “Analog and digital
I/O” plug connector of the operating unit. To this purpose use the special connection
cable (order no.
):
Connect the “Connecting module” plug connector to the terminal module.
Connect the “Remote unit” plug connector to the operating unit.
3
Connect a 24 VDC power supply to terminal strip X2 (
).
4
Configure the terminal module as required (
).
5
Establish the signal connections accordingly (

Function of the relay switching contacts
Switching logic
Load capacity
Subject the switching contacts of terminal module 2 to a load of 24 V/500 mA max.
Only connect inductive loads if suppressor diodes (free-wheeling diodes) are provided.

Configuration options (jumper)
Connection of the analog outputs
In the standard configuration the analog outputs on terminal strip X20 are available; can,
however, also be connected to X10. The jumpers J4 and J5 serve for configuration
purposes:
The connector pin assignment of the connection cable are not identical.
Do not confuse the ends of the connection cable.

When the mains voltage is switched off, the alarm signals of the operating unit
are in the “Alarm” status.
NOTICE:
Inductive loads (e.g. relays, solenoid valves) can severely damage the relay
switching contacts if the induced voltages are not discharged through
suppressor diodes.
With inductive loads:
Check whether suppressor diodes are installed.
If this does not apply:
Install separate suppressor diodes.

The analog outputs are potential-free towards the other electronic
components, but not towards one another (joint minus pole).
