6.6.2.3
Assigning devices to vehicle detection components
Manual assignment
of the 2D LiDAR sensors to the components of a system function is
required if the measurement site contains
more
than one
TIC102 Slave
or
TIC502 Slave
system function. When using only
one
TIC102 Slave or TIC502 Slave, all devices can be
automatically
assigned to the components of the system functions with their factory
setting IP addresses.
When using the
TIC501
and
Axle Detector
system functions,
assignment
of the 2D
LiDAR sensors can
generally
be made to the system components.
The following cases can be differentiated for assignment of the devices to the system
components:
•
Device assignment for several TIC102 Slaves:
To correctly assign the 2D LiDAR
sensors to the TIC102 Slaves used, you need the serial numbers that you recorded
before mounting (see chapter
4.2.1.1 Noting the serial numbers of the 2D LiDAR
sensors for several TIC102 Slaves
). The identical IP addresses of the TIC102 Slave are
adjusted during device assignment.
•
Device assignment for several TIC502 Slaves:
To correctly assign the 2D LiDAR
sensors to the TIC102 Slaves used, you need the serial numbers that you recorded
before mounting (see chapter
4.2.1.1 Noting the serial numbers of the 2D LiDAR
sensors for several TIC102 Slaves
). The identical IP addresses of the TIC502 Slave are
adjusted during device assignment.
