Acquisition Mode
The acquisition mode can be set by using the selector placed on the top left-hand side:
The selectable modes are the following:
The “H-Frame” mode allows logging raw protocol data exchanged on the HIPERFACE DSL
®
link.
T
he “Position” mode allows logging position acquisition data as available in the HIPERFACE
DSL
®
Encoder Interface (DSL Master).
The “Message” mode is specifically related to Short and Long Message exchange (HIPERFACE
DSL
®
Encoder resource access).
The “Event” mode is suitable to log specific events:
Watch signal changes (based on the Watch Filter, see configuration above)
Trigger event (if configured)
Timestamp counter overflow
Trigger Setup
The trigger for logging data can be defined based on four parameters.
The trigger depends on the result of a logical comparison defined through the following settings:
Source
Mask
Mode
Threshold
The trigger
“Source” field refers to the byte of the Watch Filter Mask to be used for triggering.
Please note that each byte is referred by the associated watch filter name as displayed on
screen:
