Commissioning RFID Access
Management
Creating a participant
1. Click the
New
button. The fields at the bottom of the window are enabled so you can
make the entry.
2. Select whether the participant is a person or a vehicle.
3. Record the
Person
with their company name, first name, last name, and personnel
number. If the participant is a
Vehicle
, the registration number is stored instead of
the personnel number.
4. Specify whether the participant is to be granted access permanently or for a certain
period of time. The program default is unlimited access authorization; the
Unlimited
checkbox is therefore ticked. The
Validity
From
field contains the current system date.
You can change this date if you wish to give the access authorization a date in the
future.
If the access authorization is to only be temporary, you must untick the checkbox.
You can then record the validity period for the authorization in the
From .. Until
fields.
Participants with temporary access authorization are only admitted access to areas
where the RFID interrogator is linked to a time server. After a mains voltage failure,
these areas only become accessible again once the RFID interrogator has been linked
back up with the time server.
5. Assign the applicable access profiles to the participant. All access profiles saved in RFID
Access Management are available for selection. An access profile is assigned by ticking
the corresponding checkbox.
6. Save the participant.
