4. Also use the keyhole fixings (see figure,
C
) at the top of the housing of the DC link
extension 036225000.
Connection
DANGER
Risk of injury due to incorrect electrical connection
→ Only trained staff is allowed to connect the DC link extension
036225000 to the SD2M 0362281BF.
→ Before connecting ensure that the devices are de-energized.
DANGER
Risk of fire/explosion due to incorrect connection
The battery (24 mF, 750 DC) is equipped with electrolytic capacitors. It is an
extension in the DC link of 0362281BF. The discharge time of a loaded bat-
tery can be longer than 80 minutes. Electrolytic capacitor are poled com-
ponents. Wrong polarity can destroy the electrolytic capacitors and cause
an explosion or fire.
→ Avoid incorrect polarity of the electrolytic capacitors; the figure above
shows the correct connection of the DC link phases..
1. The connection cables for the DC link phases are led to a terminal block at the top
of the SD2M.
Before
connecting SD2M to the mains, you must connect the mating
connector of the DC link extension as shown in the figure above (
D
).
2. Put the front panel cover back on the DC link extension 036225000 and tighten it
with the above described fastening bolts (
A
).
3. Connect SD2M to the mains supply as described in the product documentation.
5.8
Maintenance
Trouble-free operation of the device requires regular maintenance of some components.
5.8.1
Maintenance Intervals
Always ensure that the ventilation slots are free from dirt. Dust and dirt can block venti-
lation grids and cause overheating of the device.
Maintenance of the following device components is required.
▶
Fans must be replaced because the service life is limited due to the used motors
and bearings.
▶
Electrolytic capacitors must be replaced because drying reduces their capacity.
The component has to be replaced when the admissible operating time or life ex-
pectancy of the component has been reached.
