Synchronizing up to 6 SIPROTEC 4 or SIPROTEC 5 Devices
A GPS receiver transmits the user-selected time protocol (IRIG B or DCF77) to the optical fiber input R1 of the
Sync-Transceiver by way of a fiber-optic cable. Using the cascadable Y bus cable 7XV5104-0AAxx with a total
length of up to 10 m, you can connect a maximum of 6 SIPROTEC 4 or SIPROTEC 5 devices directly to the plug
connector X1 of the Sync-Transceiver. The SIPROTEC protection devices process the electrically converted
time-synchronization information. In this configuration, only channel 1 of the Sync-Transceiver is used.
