Synchronizing more than 12 SIPROTEC 4 or SIPROTEC 5 Devices
If you want to synchronize more than 12 SIPROTEC 4 or SIPROTEC 5 devices, you can multiply the optical
output of the GPS receiver by connecting a mini star coupler downstream. Using a mini star coupler and 5
Sync-Transceivers, you can supply up to 60 devices with time telegrams at the same time. By cascading the
mini star couplers and using an appropriate number of Sync-Transceivers, you can continue multiplying the
number of devices to be synchronized.
