Acting direction and flow characteristic
The selection of changeover of acting direction and characteristic with the DIL
switches of the function module AZX61.1 depends on the type of actuator (with or
without fail safe function) and the associated type of valve (valve characteristic,
push to open, pull to open).
When the positioning signal increases (DC 0…10 V, DC 4…20 mA, 0...1000 Ω), the
objective is to have the valve’s volumetric flow V rising, but to fully open the valve,
V = 100% (NO = normally open), or to fully close it, V = 0% (NC = normally closed)
in the event of a power failure.
