10.2 Technical problems in earlier working site
This section describes problems that may occur in sites that have previously been
working properly.
If changes to the system settings do not rectify the problem it may be a technical
issue which require service maintenance and/or some change in the system solu-
tion.
Problems during installation and initial configuration are better addressed by refer-
ence to earlier sections of this manual, referring to installation and configuring.
A wireless door unit does not read cards
Investigate the general door status in the PC (battery status, signal strength,
door settings and general authorizations).
Investigate the signal strength at the door. See installation guide.
Check if the RF9 routers between the SR35i and the affected door are work-
ing correctly or if they need to be moved or replaced.
Check batteries and replace if necessary.
Temporarily test with replacement units (RF30-EM or RF9).
Investigate if some external source of noise has been added. If so, try to min-
imise the effect of the noise by moving or adding RF9 routers.
Demount and reset the RF30-EM to stand-alone mode and test (e.g. by log-
ging a card into it). Do not forget to reconfigure back to system mode with the
correct parameters when finished.
Group codes do not work
Check if the yellow LED lights for every key press.
–
If no – open the Entro program, set the security level for this door to
Card
(in PC) and test a card instead.
–
If yes – this indicates an error in the keypad or LEDs. Test a new unit.
The yellow LED in RF30-EM flashes gently (once a second)
(requires that the RF30-EM have been activated through the PIR sensor)
The unit is in autonomous mode (i.e. it is off line) and is not communicating
with the system. In this condition access is only granted for
priority cards
and
for those for which this door has been set as a
Personal Door
. See the Entro
manual for more information.
Control the segment ID, installation key and unit address and other settings
according to the RF30-EM configuration manual.
Check the status in the PC and decide on actions.
Check the LED status of the RF9 routers nearby.
Cards and Group codes work but the lock does not unlock
Check the mechanical mounting.
