Bus cable screening

Synco or the Konnex bus allows for bus cables without screening. The screening
available for EIB bus cables normally do not need to be connected.

If you use a screened bus cable due to anticipating, exception disturbances,
connect the screen by following standard installation rules. (See Section 3.2 as
well).

4.2

Installation notes

It is well worth it to carefully install the system to prevent problems during
commissioning or even damage.

4.2.1

Laying bus cables

Local regulations on insulation against mains voltage (SELV as per EN 60 730)
apply if the bus cable is laid in parallel to lines of a three-phase network (3 x AC
400 V).

4.2.2

Terminating resistor

Konnex networks do NOT require bus terminating resistors.
