ERTEC 200P-2 Manual
Technical data subject to change
Version 1.0
- XHIF_Mode = 0b: Page register chip select XHIF_XCS_R Page = max. 1
MByte
- XHIF_Mode = 1b: Address line XHIF_A20
Page = max. 2
MByte
There are therefore 2 use cases with different max. page sizes.
8 pages with a 1 MByte address range each:
This is the default setting (XHIF_Mode = '0'). The external host and its address lines are
wired to the XHIF interface as follows:
XHIF interface (ERTEC 200P)
Ext. host (ext. configuration)
XHIF_A1
A1 with 16-bit interface
fixed at '0' with 32-bit interface
XHIF_A2 ... XHIF_A19
A2...A19
XHIF_XCS_R_A20
XCS_R
XHIF_SEG_0
A20
XHIF_SEG_1
A21
XHIF_SEG_2
A22
The 8 address windows (1 MByte each) are generally assigned as follows: 2x PN-IP, 1x
PER-IF, 2x EMC-SDRAM, 1x GDMA, 1x dyn. (to ARM926 D-TCM or EMC-SRAM or APB
peripherals or EMC register).
8 pages with a 2 MByte address range each:
(XHIF_Mode = '1') must be set for this setting. The external host and its address lines are
wired to the XHIF interface as follows:
XHIF interface (ERTEC 200P)
Ext. host (ext. configuration)
XHIF_A1
A1 with 16-bit interface,
fixed at '0' with 32-bit interface
XHIF_A2 ... XHIF_A19
A2...A19
XHIF_XCS_R_A20
A20
XHIF_SEG_0
A21
XHIF_SEG_1
A22
XHIF_SEG_2
A23
The procedure for XHIF configuration is as follows:
The XHIF interface with 8 pages of 1 MByte each and page register configuration over
the external host (XHIF_XCS_R) is available after a ERTEC 200P reset.
Page register configuration from the host is with A20 = '0' (XHIF_XCS_R = '0').
The page from which the APB area can be accessed is accessed from the host with A20
= '1' (XHIF_XCS_R = '1') and XHIF_XCS_M = '0'. The register XHIF_Mode = '1' is set in
the SCRB block.
From now on, A20 acts from the host perspective as an address line (XHIF_A20) and
2 MByte of address range are therefore available for each page.
The XHIF interface can be operated at either 3.3 V or 1.8 V. The IO pads are connected
separately with VDD_XHIF (either 1.8 V or 3.3 VM; no other setting possible) and sup-
plied with GND. This supply system includes all 64 IO pads of the host interface. One use
case for 1.8 V is the connection of two ERTEC 200P (see Figure 10). The ERTEC 200P
EMC interface is always operated at VDD=1.8 V. The connection must therefore also be
1.8 V. The driver capacity of the pad cell is 25pF with 1.8 V and 35pF with 3.3 V. The
max. board capacities are still to be defined.
