9.5 Connecting
the
Video Fire Controller FDV241 to the FDnet and
to the CCTV system
The Video Fire Controller can be connected to a CCTV system. It then supports
the same CCTV functions as SISTORE CX1. The connection to the CCTV system
is set up via Ethernet.
The Video Fire Controller can be operated using IVM just like the CCTV equipment.

Connections on the Video Fire Controller

Operate the device on the top-hat rail. See Section 8: Wall mounting.

Connect a camera to the video input (

).
If loop-through is necessary, set the terminating resistor (

) to Off and connect
the video cable extension to the video loop (

).

Connect an analogue monitor to the device (

).
4.
Connect the client PC to the network switch, and use the network cable
provided to connect the switch to the device (

).
5.
Connect the power supply cable to the device (

) first and then to the power
source.

Switch on the analogue monitor.

After a short wait, the IP address of the device will appear on the screen.
