The battery charging status is correctly displayed only after
uninterrupted charging/discharging
. You should therefore
avoid removing the batteries unnecessarily and ending the charg-
ing process prematurely.
Note
Your telephone is now ready for use. The answering machine is
available with the pre-recorded announcement. To correctly
record the time of calls and, if applicable, messages, you must
now set the date and time (page 50).

The charge status of the batteries is only indicated
– during charging
– when the batteries are flat

When the batteries are almost flat you will hear the
'battery low' beep (if it is switched on, page 56). In
the idle status the

icon flashes in the display and
Accu warn. Please load
is also displayed.

Once initial charging is complete, you can replace
your handset in the base after each call. This ensures
that the batteries are charged in a way that maxim-
ises their life.

The batteries heat up during charging. This is nor-
mal and not dangerous.
