Troubleshooting
Fault tracing
When troubleshooting, start by checking the LEDs on your Gigaset SE681 WiMAX.
Please answer the questions on the left-hand side and follow the arrows to the answers
and solutions:

LAN LED flashing green
: data is being transmitted. No fault.

: no registration to a WiMAX network.
Has the antenna been moved out of position or the device's
alignment changed? In this case, restore the original align-
ment.
Register your Gigaset SE681 WiMAX with the help of the con-
nection wizard; see page 26.
Online LED flashing green
: a connection is being estab-
lished. No fault.
Online LED is red
: the Gigaset SE681 WiMAX is not ready for
use.
The device may be too hot. In this case, the integrated over-
heating protector prevents the Gigaset SE681 WiMAX from
being damaged. If the temperature rises, the Gigaset SE681
WiMAX automatically reduces data transfer to a minimum.
When the temperature exceeds the critical value, the Gigaset
SE681 WiMAX switches itself off.
Wait until the Gigaset SE681 WiMAX has cooled down.
