PC Interface
You can connect the Gigaset SL74 handset
to your computer using the data cable
supplied. Your computer can then
communicate with your Gigaset SL74 and
access parameters and lists on your
handset using a program you can
download free of charge at http://
www.siemens-mobile.com/gigasetsl740.
This permits:

the downloading of polyphonic ringer
tones and logos
u
the synchronisation of Outlook
contacts with the directory

the synchronisation of Outlook
appointments
During data transfer between the handset
and the computer, the screen displays

possible via the keypad and incoming calls
are ignored.

Writing and editing text
When writing a text:

Editing text (without predictive text)
When you press a key
and hold it

characters of that key appear in the
bottom display line
and are highlighted
one after the other. When you release the
key the highlighted character is inserted
into the input field.
You can see in the display whether upper
case, lower case or digits are selected:

"A" or "a" appears on the bottom display
line when you make an entry in the
directory.
u
"Abc", "abc" or "123" appears at the top
right of the screen when a text
message is entered.
Editing text (with predictive text)
The predictive text helps you to write
MMS, text messages and names in the
directory, speed dial list or email directory.

assigned several letters and characters

the text area (above the display keys) as
