Setting the base station
All the settings for the base station are made with a registered SL 1 handset.
Protecting the telephone from unauthorised access
Protect the system settings of the base station with a system PIN that only you know.
The system PIN now has to be entered for handset registration/de-registration, restoring
factory settings, internal activation or barring numbers, for example.
Changing the System PIN
You can change the base station's 4-digit system PIN (factory setting 0000) to a 4-digit
PIN which is known only to you. This also allows you to remotely operate the answering
machine in the Gigaset SL 150 (page 64).

Assigning authorisation perhandset
You can prevent individual handsets from dialling external numbers.
You can assign
the following authorisations

Internal and external:
The handset can be used without restriction.
◆
Ext incoming:
The handset can be used to make internal calls. External calls can be
accepted.
◆
Internal only:
The handset can only be used for internal calls.

If necessary, enter the current system PIN and con-
firm.

Enter the new system PIN. For security reasons the
input is shown as four asterisks (****).

Scroll to the next line and repeat the new system PIN.
