Calling with the PC
You can use your PC to call any telephone number in any of your directories. Apart from
talk&surf, you can also use this function with other address programs
(e. g. Microsoft Outlook or Windows address book).
After you enter the number on the PC, the assigned device will ring briefly. Pressing the
call key sets up the connection.
Calling from talk&surf
ì
In the calls list or a directory, select the entry containing the telephone number.
ì
Click
Dial-Up
in the
Action
menu.
This sets up the connection via the assigned telephone.
Example: Calling from Outlook
Before calling an Outlook contact, you first have to select the ISDN line set up by
talk&surf.
Setting up the ISDN line
ì
Open the
Contacts
folder in
Outlook
.
ì
Click
Dial Phone
in the
Actions > Call Contact
menu.
ì
Click
Dialling options
in the
Dial Phone
dialogue.
ì
In the
Connect using line
tab, select the setting
Line 0 on HUB Device
.
ì
Confirm your entry with
OK
.
ì
Close the
Dial Phone
dialogue.
Calling the contact
ì
Open the
Contacts
folder in
Outlook
.
ì
Select the contact.
ì
Click the telephone number in the
Actions> Call contact
menu.
This sets up the connection via the assigned telephone.

This option is only available if you assign the PC one of your telephones
to be used to set up the connection.

The following example was tested with Windows XP and Outlook XP.

The telephone number must have the following format:
+49 (1234) 1234567890
If this is not the case, then:

Click
New call
in the
Actions > Call Contact
menu.
ì
Click
Open contact
in the
New call
dialogue.
ì
Double-click the telephone number.
ì
Confirm the
Check phone number
dialogue with
OK
.
