Handwriting Recognition with Jot
Jot is the software responsible for handwriting recognition on your MOBIC. Using
the pen, you can also write entries on the touchscreen that are then recognized by
the software.
Jot Trainer
Before you start working with Jot, it is advisable to familiarize yourself with the
conventions of entering handwriting. Jot provides a tutorial on this topic.

To start the Jot tutorial:
Start - >Programs - >Jot - >Jot Tutorial

To exit the Jot tutorial
Tap on the Jot icon in the system bar.
You can recognize whether or not Jot is active by the two icons in the system bar
(see Figure7-1 and Figure 7-2):

The “Arrow” icon (see Figure 7-1) tells you that the pen can only be used for
tapping in the current status. The pen cannot be used for writing on the screen
in this status.

The “Pen” icon (see Figure 7-2) tells you that the pen can only be used for
writing on the screen in this status.

By tapping on the currently displayed icon in the system bar, you can activate or
deactivate Jot.
You can open a window for setting the Jot properties by double-tapping on the Jot
icon.
