5.2
Preparing the project
Now you’re ready to prepare the project. See the following subsection for details on
how to do so.
5.2.1
Creating a new MT8001 project in Composer
Composer may create a new project using a specific command available in the
Welcome page (Fig. 27). However, depending on the installation type, Composer
creates the new project with a predefined set of objects, e.g. for MM8000, or with
an empty structure (verify the Composer behaviour in your system).
Start a new MT8001 project in one of the following ways:

In case of Cerloop or direct link, the best approach is to start from an empty
structure. If this is not the case using the new project command, you can restore
an empty project by selecting the related template (see Fig. 28). For example, in
the MM8000 installation, the empty project template in available in:
C:\Program Files\DMS8000\Sample Projects
\
Empty.bak
.
•
In case of NK8000 connection, we recommend to restore a sample project
called
C:\Program Files\DMS8000\Sample Projects\MT8001.bak
(see Fig. 29).
