Transfer
Under "Transfer" you define whether and how data is transferred from a configuration PC to
the HMI device.
Transfer mode
●
"Enable transfer": Option to enable or disable data transfer to the HMI device.
If you disable the transfer, you protect the HMI device against unintended update of the
operating system and overwriting the project data.
●
"Transfer channel:" Selection list to define the data channel. Selection options:
–
"Ethernet" (default setting): Standard Ethernet protocol is used for the transfer.
–
"PN/IE": Transfer is performed via PROFINET or Industrial Ethernet. This allows the
HMI device to be accessed as an alternative to direct communication as follows:
◇
Via routing through a controller
◇
Via a switch or via a router in the local network
If possible, use the "Ethernet" data channel, which offers higher performance than
"PN/IE".
Only use the "Ethernet" data channel for the "Update operating system via WinCC"
function.
Encrypted project transfer
●
"Password": Password for the encrypted transfer of the project. The password must
match the password specified in the configuration.
To set the password, tap the input box. The password must have a length from 8 to 120
characters and the following character must be included:
–
At least one letter (A - Z, a - z)
–
At least one number (0 - 9)
–
At least one special character (! # $ % & ( ) * + , - . / : ; < = > ? @ [ \ ] _ { | } ~ ^ ` " ‘)
●
"Set Password": Button to save the password for the encrypted project transfer.
For more information on encrypted project transfer, refer to the TIA information system.
