2. Configure the following parameter(s) as required:
Parameter
Description
Current LAN IP Address
Displays the currently configured SS LAN IP address.
Configured LAN IP Address
The LAN IP address, an IPv4 address.
Current LAN Mask
Displays the currently configured LAN netmask.
Configured LAN Mask
The LAN mask, a dotted-decimal mask.
RF IP mode
Synopsis:
{ Static, DHCP }
Displays the RF IP mode.
RF IP Address
Displays the RF IP address.
RF IP Subnet Mask
Displays the RF IP subnet mask.
RF IP Default GW
Displays the RF default gateway.
3. Click

4. If you changed the value in the
Configured LAN IP Address
or
Configured LAN Mask
parameters, reboot the
device. For more information, refer to
Section 4.5, “Rebooting the Device”
.
NOTE
The DHCP client within the device does not release its IP address when the lease time is expired and it
does not update itself with the new IP address allocated by the server. Instead, it keeps the previous
IP address. Using a pre-provisioned IP address is preferable as a pre-provisioned IP address does not
require renewing. If not using a pre-provisioned IP, de-register the SS from the base station to get the
new IP address configured at the DHCP server.

Configuring the Management VLAN
Management VLAN options include the VLAN number and the 802.1p priority value. Outgoing management
frames are tagged with the configured VLAN number and priority. Incoming management frames must be tagged
with the same values, or the SS drops the incoming frames.
