32.1.4 Controller in ”nonoperated state"
The controller assumes the ”nonoperated state” when, during the last 8 minutes, none
of the buttons has been pressed or, previously, one of the operating mode buttons has
been pressed.
In the ”nonoperated state”, the time of day and all actual values can be viewed by pres-

those on operating line 161. Any active limitations are indicated by or depending on
the priority. They can be retrieved on operating line 169.
When switching on again after a power failure, the display always shows the time of
day. Then, the display selected last will reappear.
32.1.5 Safety
concept
The safety concept includes 3 choices aimed at protecting the unit against tampering:
•
The functions or settings of function block ”Locking functions” are locked on the soft-

Locking can be overridden (for details, refer to the subsection below)
•
With the locking on the hardware side, overriding of locking on the software side can
be prevented (also refer to section 29.3)

The fixing screws on the controller front are recessed; the holes can be protected with
a sealing label which will be destroyed when removed

32.2 Commissioning
32.2.1 Installation
instructions
The RVD230 is supplied with installation instructions which contain detailed descrip-
tions of mounting and wiring and commissioning with functional checks and settings.
They have been written for trained specialists. Each operating line has an empty field in
which the selected value can be entered.
The installation instructions should not be thrown away after use but kept in a safe
place together with the plant documentation.
