Positioning the door before the learn run
Before starting the learn run, the door must be positioned at a maximum distance of 10 cm
from the closing end stop. This can be done manually or with the OPEN (S402) or CLOSE
(S403) service buttons on the controller.
WARNING
Risk of injury during commissioning
Prior to the learn run, the "closed" and "open" positions are unknown. For this reason, the
direction of movement of the door resulting from pressing the OPEN (S402) or CLOSE
(S403) service buttons is dependent on the way that the door and motor have been
installed.
Increased forces arise in the opening and closing directions when positioning the door
using the OPEN (S402) and CLOSE (S403) service buttons, and before a learn run the 7-
segment display (H401) shows the status code "_" or "P". You must therefore ensure that
the door is safely cordoned off.
Starting a learn run via the learn run button
You can start a learn run by pressing the learn run button (S401). Proceed as described in
Section Service buttons (Page 43).
Requirements
Types of learn run (via learn run button)
Two types of learn run can be made if the learn run button is pressed as follows:
●
When the supply voltage is applied
If the learn run button (S401) is pressed directly when the supply voltage is applied, all
driving curve parameters as well as the force and energy limiting parameters are
automatically set to factory settings before the learn run is started.
Note
After switching on the controller, the learn run button (S401) must be pressed (for up to
10 s) until the learn run has started ("H" is shown on the 7-segment display (H401)).
Application examples: initial commissioning or when commissioning a new motor type
●
During operation
If the learn run button (S401) is pressed during operation for longer than 3 s, a learn run
is started. The set driving parameters and force parameters remain unchanged.
Application examples: different door width or door weight
