5.
Make sure that the antenna detects the front transponder with the highest and most stable
RSSI value possible while the rear transponder is not detected at all or is only detected with a
very low RSSI.
If this does not apply, you may need to do the following depending on the problem:
–
Realign the antenna
–
Adapt the power [dBm]
Make sure that you only increase the power to such an extent that you can reliably
detect the selected transponder. If the power is increased too much, it may occur that
other transponders are also detected.
6.
Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the antenna
②
.
Follow these steps to configure the antennas of the bottom read point (Readpoint_2):
1.
Rotate the two objects by 180° so that the transponders of the objects are at the bottom.
2.
Repeat steps 3 to 6 of the previous instructions for the read point "Readpoint_2" or the
antennas
③
and
④
.
Testing a configuration
After you have configured the antennas, you should test this configuration before resuming
regular operation. The following points should be ensured:
•
The read points should always detect the transponder of the object that currently passes
through the light barrier with a high RSSI value. Transponders of other objects should not
be detected or only detected with a very low RSSI value.
This should always be the case, regardless of whether the transponder is more at the front
or the back on the object and thus passes through the light barrier early or late.
•
The top read point (Readpoint_1) should detect objects at which the transponders are at
the top with a high RSSI value. The bottom read point (Readpoint_2) should not detect
these objects/transponders or only with a very low RSSI value.
•
The bottom read point (Readpoint_2) should detect objects at which the transponders are
at the bottom with a high RSSI value. The top read point (Readpoint_1) should not detect
these objects/transponders or only with a very low RSSI value.
Check these points based on test runs and re-align the antennas or adapt the radiated power
of the
antennas. Note the maximum permissible speed of the conveyor system (≤ 1.3 m/s)
and the resulting minimum distance between the objects.
