Controlling the recording
Using the "Single", "Start", "Stop" and "Clear View", you can control the recording of the
RSSI values:
●
Single setting
A single read of the selected data source is triggered and the measured values obtained
are displayed.
●
Start
Existing values from a previous recording are deleted. A new recording is then started.
Reads of the selected data source are performed cyclically.
●
Stop
Stopping the recording
●
Deleting the display
Existing values from the last recording are deleted.
A progress bar indicates that the recording is active. The output box displays the number of
transponders read with the last read operation.
List of identified transponders
After you have started recording the RSSI values, all the transponders identified by the
reader are listed in the table.
Table 5- 4
Displayed properties of the recognized transponders
Property
Description
Tag ID
EPC ID of the detected transponder
Antenna
Antenna with which the transponder was detected. Do not forget that the
transponder may also have been detected on a different antenna.
RSSI min
Minimum RSSI value of the transponder. Calculated over all successful
inventories.
RSSI max
Maximum RSSI value of the transponder. Calculated over all successful
inventories.
Cycles
Number of inventories taken of this transponder.
Count
Number of successful inventories of this transponder.
Time
Time stamp when the transponder was last read.
To make it easier to identify the transponders and to assign the RSSI values, the
transponders are shown in different colors. 10 different colors are available for distinguishing
the transponders. If more transponders were read than the available colors, the colors are
repeated.
Transponders can be selected individually in the table. The selected transponder is
highlighted with the selection color set in Windows.
The sum of the identified transponders is displayed in the "Identified Tags" output box.
