Recommendations for increasing data security
● Always back up the data in the following cases:
– After configuration changes
– Before and after system component upgrades
– Before and after configuration software upgrades
● Keep at least the three most recent versions of your PCS 7 project.
● Use different storage media for backing up the data.
Examples:
– LAN hard disk
– USB hard disk
– MOD
– CD/DVD
This retains availability of your data even after failure of a device.
● You can also backup your data on hard disks of PCs in a network. Simultaneous hard disk
failure on more than one PC is very unlikely.
