When installing an I/O module on a bus unit, proceed as follows (see Fig-
ure 3-3):
1. Using a screw driver, set the coding key on the bus unit to the type of mo-
dule that you are installing. The module type (2 to 8) is printed on the
front of the I/O module.
Setting the coding key to the correct module type prevents installing the
wrong type of module when you change modules. (1)
2. Hang the module on the top of the bus unit. (2)
3. Swing the module back. (3)
4. Press the module into place.
5. Fasten the screw on the bottom front of the module to attach the module
to the bus unit.
