Applications
DC machine of the 1GG6... series are implemented with open-circuit or closed-circuit cooling
with a laminated stator yoke.
They are designed for a wide range of drive and energy conversion applications and comply
with the harmonized standards of series IEC / EN 60034 (VDE 0530).

Cooling
The cooling system is designed as an open cooling circuit with cooling method IC06. The
machine is cooled using ambient air. A separately-driven fan draws in and blows out the
ambient air.
Design
The machine has no housing, but is designed with a fully laminated stator yoke which allows
a rate of current change of up to 250 I
N
/sec.
