Addresses of the analog modules
The address of an analog input or output channel is always an even address.
The channel address is based on the module initial address.
If the first analog module is in slot 4, then it has the defaut initial address 256. The
initial address of each additional analog module is raised per slot by 16 (see
Table 5-1).
An analog input/output module has the same initial addresses for the analog input
and output channels.
Example for analog modules
Fig. 5-4 shows by way of an example which default channel addresses are ob-
tained if an analog module is plugged into slot 4. You will see that in the case of an
analog input/output module, the analog input and analog output channels are ad-
dressed from the same address, the module initial address.
Slot number 3 is reserved as no interconnection module is present in the example.

Addresses of the FM and CP modules
The FM and CP modules are assigned to the analog address range.
In addition, the FM and CP modules have extended interfaces (data sets). For a
detailed description, see the corresponding module’s manual.
