Overview of TO Cam Track

General information about Cam Track TO
Cam tracks allow several output cams to be output as a track on one output.
The Cam Track technology object
● Generates position-dependent switching signals
● Can be assigned to positioning axes, synchronous axes or external encoders
● The axes can be real or virtual.
Different switching signals distinguish different types of output cam on the cam track:
● Software cam
Switching signals are used internally in the user program by evaluating the relevant state
system variable.
● Hardware cams
Switching signals are output externally on I/O by assigning a digital output to the cam track
TO. For example, digital output modules from the ET 200 I/O system can be used for cam
track output.
