After the MCP has been electrically connected, all LEDs on the front side of the
MCP flash until no communication takes place between MCP and PLC.
Simultaneously pressing the two keys “Feed stop” and “Feed enable” (in the
bottom right corner) displays the version number of the current software version
using the LEDs now lighting continuously.
Version number = V “Number of lighting LEDs in the left LED group”
“Number of lighting LEDs in the middle LED group”
“Number of lighting LEDs in the right LED group”
Version number V4.1.5 is displayed in the example (Fig. 5-5).

The data transfer rate is set using switch S3 on the rear side of the MPI module.
It is 1.5 Mbaud on the MPI bus of the SINUMERIK 840Di.
