Part program simulation
for SINUMERIK 880/880 GA2 only
Description
FX 7 supports the NC function "Simulation" by accessing the T numbers requested by the D
numbers:
The simulation of a part program is carried out in the COM area of the SINUMERIK 880. There
are a maximum of 2 simulation channels numbered 17 and 18. Usually only one channel, no.
17, is available. A second simulation channel is only used with double-slide turning machines
(MD 5009, bit 7 = 1). The number of simulation channels is stored in MD 173. It is then
possible to execute up to two simulations simultaneously.
The results of the simulation, e.g. auxiliary functions, are output at the channels which are
defined in NC machine data 251 and 252. In the case of simulation channel 17, the simulation
results (with the exception of the D numbers of the located tool, these are transferred to R
parameters R101 - R109 of simulation channel 17) are output at the channel defined in NC MD
251.
In the case of simulation channel 18, the simulation results (with the exception of the D
numbers of the located tool, these are transferred to R parameters R101 - R109 of simulation
channel 18) are output at the channel defined in NC MD 252.
The following assignment applies:
–
Simulation channel 17 <--> NC MD 251
NC MD 251:
The simulation results from channel 17 are output at the NC channel
defined here.
Range: 1..16
Standard value: 15
–
Simulation channel 18 <--> NC MD 252
NC MD 252:
The simulation results from channel 18 are output at the NC channel
defined here.
Range: 1..16
Standard value: 16
The simulation block is triggered by a T call in the NC channel defined in MD 251 and/or MD
252 and initiates a search in the tool buffer and in the magazine table defined by the magazine
number given in the extended address during the T call or the block parameter "MANR". If an
extended address is available on the T call, this value is taken as the magazine number from
which the search in the magazine table is started; in this case the magazine number defined
as a block parameter is not evaluated. If no extended address is released on the T call, the
magazine number parameterized in the block is valid. (T number and extended T address must
always be stored in the NC channel in binary code!). In contrast to normal operation, a tool is
found in the first search, i.e. replacement tools are also found. The resulting tool D numbers
are either transferred immediately to R parameters R101 - R109 of the simulation channel
concerned (where magazine = turret AND machine data bit 7011.1 = 1) or when signal M06
is output (when magazine < > turret OR machine data bit 7011 = 0). At the same time, a
read-in disable is output as a block parameter which is routed by the user program to the
corresponding read-in disable of the NC channel defined in MD 251 or 252.
