Reporting of channel errors
Error states are only reported when the heater is switched on (Switch on heating
(Page 137)).
The only exception is the "Triac breakdown" error. This error is always reported regardless of
the heater status.
Suppression of channel errors
By default, errors are diagnosed and reported for all power outputs/channels. The user can
define a list of channels for which errors will not be reported. This is appropriate for those
channels that are remain unconnected in the equipment.
9.7.8
Monitoring power channels with loads connected in parallel
Diagnostics for loads connected in parallel (POM4220 Highend only)
If several loads are connected in parallel at one output, in addition to the aforementioned
faults, the failure of at least one heating element can be detected.
For this, the corresponding details on the total output power and permitted deviation from
total power for the output must be entered (see Configuration parameters for
CIM and POM (Page 108)).
The following faults are diagnosed:
Fault
Special features
Partial load failure
Error message if power rating is too low
Note
A faulty diagnostics can be the result of heat emitters connected in parallel under the
following condition:
The setpoint with which the output is controlled falls short of 90%.
