The central communication unit has three interfaces to communicate between unit and
user, and an interface or connection for the KNX bus.
The "PC" interface is intended to directly connect a central communication unit to a
local operator station. A USB cable, type A-B, is required to this end.
The "Modem" interface helps connect a modem via RS-232. When communicating via
modem, the following message receivers are supported: Operator stations (PC/laptop
with ACS software), SMS receivers, pagers, fax machines.
The interface labeled "Ethernet" corresponds to a RJ45 plug on the Ethernet card
OZZ7E5. Order the card separately and insert it in the central communication unit. You
need a network cable Cat-5 to connect to the Ethernet (Ethernet category 5 cable).
The CE+ and CE- connection terminals labeled "KNX" are for the KNX bus. See data
sheet N3127 for more information on the KNX bus.
