5.3.2 Diagnose communication via modem
Use "Commissioning mode On / Off" to diagnose communication via modem.
1. Select
Applications > Popcard
command sequence: Settings > Communication > Modem.
2. Double-click "Test message receiver" to open the data point.
3. Select Message receiver 1 (or 2…4) and click
OK
to enter the value, i.e. start
diagnosis.
4. Check data point for "System report sent = Yes".
If the message receiver could not be reached, "System report sent = No" is displayed
briefly, followed by "---".
In this case, check the connection to the message receiver via the modem interface
settings.
During diagnosis, you can set data point "Time to next message = 0" to avoid having to
wait until the message (system report) is sent.
If the message in the first package cannot be sent, data point "Current repetition
interval" automatically is set to 15 minutes.
If the second package fails also, 60 minutes are set, and if the third attempt at sending
fails, 840 minutes (14 hours) are set. The intervals of 15, 60, 840, 840, … minutes are
predefined.
The interval does not change if a fault occurs that requires reporting between two
sending attempts. The interval refers to the message receivers and not the fault status
message.
