7.3.3 I/O Card or Serial Link Checking
7.3.3 If MOVA is to use a Bus / MOVA (Digital) I/O Board, check that the
correct type of I/O boards have been detected, using the ‘cards’
command.
If MOVA is to use the serial link to an ST700/750/800/900 family
controller check that the link is active – View the ‘Controller Files’
web screen and check that the ESP link status is not ‘link down’.
The Outstation has the option of using the controller serial interface to an
ST700/750/800/900 family traffic controller. Through this link the OMCU receives
information such as the detector and green states to remove the need for external
wiring.
To use the serial link, the controller must be fitted with the appropriate firmware and be
configured to use ‘Serial MOVA’. The serial link must be enabled on the outstation as
described in section 6.6.5. If the serial link is enabled but there is a problem with the
communications then an entry will be placed in the outstation fault table.
7.3.4 Setting the Time and Date
7.3.4 Set the time and date in the outstation.
Check if the date and time on the outstation is already being set via the NTP service –
check on the StatusConfig – Advanced Config – Network – NTP screen.
If not being set by NTP, then the date and time can be set manually using the date
command (see reference 1.3.1) and Daylight Saving can be configured via the
StatusConfig web screens – StatusConfig – Advanced Config - Date and Time.
7.3.5 MOVA Licence Codes
7.3.5 Enter the correct MOVA licence codes.
7.4.1 For MOVA 7 if log file export to an OSS logging is to be used set up
the export start time and period and enable the OSS
7.4.3 For MOVA 7 enable alerts if required
The software licence codes are supplied from Poole and before this can be done the
Serial Number of the Outstation Processor must be obtained. This can be found by
either looking on the card itself or using the Handset command ‘version –f’ or reading
the ‘System’ web screen, in the ‘Platform’ table.
Poole will then supply LIN and LIF codes to be entered on the MOVA Config screen,
see section 6.6.2.
