4. INSTALLATION
WARNING
THIS EQUIPMENT MAY ONLY BE INSTALLED IN A RESTRICTED ACCESS
LOCATION BY APPROPRIATELY TRAINED PERSONNEL.
ENSURE THAT THE UNIT IS NOT CONNECTED TO THE COMMUNICATIONS
NETWORK DURING INSTALLATION AND SWITCH OFF ALL MAINS TO THE
CABINET PRIOR TO STARTING.
THIS UNIT CONTAINS BATTERIES WHICH, UNDER FAULT CONDITIONS, MAY
LEAK HAZARDOUS SUBSTANCES.
CARE MUST BE TAKEN WHEN FITTING BATTERIES OR HANDLING THE UNIT.
FIT BATTERIES ONLY OF THE SPECIFIED OR EQUIVALENT TYPE. BATTERIES
FITTED INCORRECTLY COULD CAUSE AN EXPLOSION.
4.1 USER RESPONSIBILITIES
It is the responsibility of the Engineer (or purchasing authority) to provide:
(a)
At least one auxiliary mains supply or suitable alternative mains supply outlet for
the unit’s PSU (supply capability to be at least 1A RMS, and fused at 5A or less).
(b)
A working communications connection, dependent on the system
communications type.
