5.4 REPLACING THE FORCED CIRCULATION COOLING FANS
- Remove the internal protective shelves (Fig. 41, pos. A).
- Loosen the fan-fixing screws (Fig. 41, pos. B) and after disconnecting the fan from the electricity supply,
remove it.
5.5 REPLACING THE PISTONS (VAD version
only)
CAUTION!
This procedure should be performed by at
least two operators.
- Open the glass cover at the front.
- Using a punch, remove the Seeger ring (Fig. 42,
pos. A) fixing the piston in place (Fig. 42, pos. B).
- Remove the piston pin (Fig. 42, pos. C).
- Take the piston (Fig. 42) out of its slot.
One operator should support the glass as the piston
is removed.
CAUTION!
Make sure that the new piston to be fitted
has the same features as the old one,
otherwise (if a different model is fitted) the
front glass panel may explode.
CAUTION!
Make sure that the piston fixing pin is
inserted properly and secured using the
safety ring.
