 Mounting guide

It  is  always  recommended  to  find  a  very  stiff  montage  for  monitoring
equipment when monitoring vibrations. For this unit extra care needs to be
taken  due  to  its  high  total  mass.  Un  sufficient  mounting  will  result  in
erroneous results. Suitable surfaces are concrete, hard brick or similar. The
unit  must  not  be  attached  to  resilient  structures  such  as  corrugated  steel
sheet wall covering or weak beams.

The recommended procedure is:

Find  or  prepare  a  stiff  and  flat  spot  for  the  mounting,  either
horizontal  or  vertical.  Concrete  foundation  (or  similar)  is
recommended to provide reliable results.

1.

Set up and start C22 monitoring with preferred settings outside the
enclosure on a flat surface (a table for example). Make sure the
unit is sending data correctly.

For more information about how to

set up the C22 unit, read the C22 manual.

2.

Depending on assembly direction of the unit, the C22 Vibration
Monitor must have correct alignment. See Figure 1 and Figure 2.
