Current calibration
Take SPS5081X channel 1 as an example.
The used instrument is an electronic load and a high-precision multimeter is
connected in series.
(1) Send command CALibrate:STATe CH1,1 to enter calibration mode.
(2) Send command CALibrate:CLEAn CSET to clear calibration data.
(3) Send command CALibrate:CLEAn CMEAS to clear calibration data.
(4) Set the electronic load short-circuit mode, set the SPS voltage to 10V, set
SPS current Iset1 = 0.2 A, and turn on the output.
(5) The measured value of the multimeter is Im1, and the value displayed by
SPS is Isps1. Record the values of Vm1 and Vsps1.
(6) Change SPS current to Iset2 = 3A.
(7) The measured value of the multimeter is Im2, and the value displayed by
SPS is Isps2. Record the values of Im2 and Isps2.
(8) Change SPS current to Iset3 = 14A.
(9) The measured value of the multimeter is Im3, and the value displayed by
SPS is Isps3. Record the values of Im3 and Isps3.
(10) Write the following two commands to calibrate the current setting value
Format: CALibrate:SET:CURRent point1,point2,Im1,Iset1,Im2,Iset2
(Eg: CALibrate:SET:CURRent 0,3,0.1934,0.2,3.314,3)
Format: CALibrate:SET:CURRent point2,point3,Im2,Iset2,Im3,Iset3
(Eg: CALibrate:SET:CURRent 3,18,3.314,3,15.580,14)
Note: if Im2 >= point2, point2 = Im2 + 0.1
(11) Send command CALibrate:SAVE CH1,CSET to save the calibration
data.
(12) Write the following two commands to calibrate the current measured
value
Format: CALibrate:MEAS:CURRent point1,point2,
Isps1,Im1,Isps2,Im2
