Connecting an external analog sensor
Connection is made on the 4-way current input module (Section 5.4.5).
A passive 4 .. 20mA sensor is connected between terminal 9 (24V) of the SICON and
terminal 2 (In 1+) of the 4-way current input.
An active 0/4 .. 20 mA sensor is connected between terminal 2 (In 1+) and 1 (In 1-) of
the 4-way current input.
The inputs must be activated in the
Spec. Function \ No.of Cur.In.
menu and are then
available as additional measuring channels C6 .. C8.
The parameterization of measuring channels C6 .. C8 is described in the Reference Ma-
nual.

Connecting a pressure monitor on extractive systems
A pressure monitor is connected to terminals 28 (Input 1) and 30 (ST) of the SICON.
DIL switch S2/-1 must be ON.
The pressure monitor closes a contact when a sufficient sample volume is present.
In the
Inputs / outputs / Inputs / I1
menu, set to External and Invert.
In the
Inputs/outputs / Inputs/General
menu, enter a fault name under
Name ext.in.
(e.g. FLOW) and set the
Prio.ext.in.
parameter to Warning.
