Installation:
Please contact a licensed fire alarm installer for installation and working with this product. Improper installation can damage
your fire alarm and/or prevent proper operation of the fire alarm. Technical support is available at (800) 572-5227.
The FA41-MC is designed to interface with DC Voltage input. It will transmit as long as the positive voltage is present and
will stop transmitting when the voltage reverses polarity or ceases.
1.
Using the supplied Velcro strip, attach the Fire transmitter to the wall next to the alarm panel. You can also hang the transmitter
on a nail or screw using the opening in the back of the case. Do not attach inside of the alarm panel box! The metal of the box
will detune the transmitter.
2.
Red Wire attaches to Positive polarity DC Voltage when alarm is active.
3.
Black Wire attaches to negative polarity DC Voltage / Common Lead when alarm is active.
4.
Each FA41-MC uses 5ma Max during alert @28VDc / 0ma during standby.
Operation:
1.
The FA41-MC will transmit as long as a positive 12~ 24voltage is applied. When the voltage is applied with positive polarity, the
Red LED on the face of the transmitter will light up. The transmitter will then send a signal to any Silent Call Medallion Series
Receiver activating the receiver.
2.
Transmission range with a Silent Call Medallion Series receiver is about 500 feet.
3.
This unit is powered by two AA size alkaline batteries (included). Actual battery life is determined by the amount of time the
transmitter is transmitting. In normal use the batteries may be expected to last several years.
4.
There is a Yellow LED (low battery indicator light) on the face of the transmitter to let you know when the battery is getting low
and will need to be changed soon.
Transmitter Settings:
The Silent Call Medallion system is digitally encoded. All Silent Call Medallion Series receivers are capable of receiving one million
different codes and the transmitters are preset at the factory to send one of the million different codes. Please refer to your receiver
manual for instruction on teaching the transmitter code to the receiver.
Replacement Batteries:
Use two AA 1.5V Alkaline Batteries. Use Only Panasonic Alkaline Batteries Type LR6XWA. Batteries may be purchased Online at
