Thank you for choosing Silva Alpha headlamp. This headlamp can, thanks to the modular design, also be
used on a helmet or a bike handle bar.
The Alpha headlamp is equipped with Intelligent Light® which is a light distribution technology that com-
bines a wide angle flood light with a long reach spot light.
This unique light image gives the user peripheral and long distance vision at the same time. For a runner,
cross country skier, mountain biker or night orienteer this translates into less head movement, increased
control, better balance and more speed.

The Alpha headlamp contains of the following parts:
• Headlamp unit
• Ergonomic head set
• Rechargeable Li-Ion battery with a multi attachment battery case
• Charger
• Extension cable
• Helmet attachment (included in Alpha 6, also available as accessory)
• Bike handle bar attachment (Included in Alpha 6, also available as accessory)
• Storage and carrying case for all included parts
• Instruction manual
Before use
Battery charging
The battery needs to be charged before first use. After charging you can connect the
battery to the headlamp and check battery status.
1. Connect the battery to the charger.
2. Connect the charger to the wall outlet.
3. On the charger there is an LED showing the battery status during charging:
- green light = battery is fully charged (or not connected)
- red light = battery is charging
- blinking red light = battery is not working properly
• The battery charger is for indoor use only.
• If the power supply cord is damaged it must be replaced. Spare parts are available from the manufacturer
or its service agent.
• Do not cover the battery charger, and ensure good ventilation while charging the battery.
Battery charging times (approx.):
Alpha 6 – 6 hours
Alpha 4 – 4 hours
Alpha 2 – 3 hours
note!
When the battery is fully charged the charger automatically switches to maintenance mode.
