5.5.1 Extended maintenance interval
The oil change interval can be extended if the machine is used in excess of 1,000 hrs a year. The oil
must be changed once a year. For intermediate maintenance, it is sufficient to replace the oil filter and,
if necessary, add hydraulic/transmission oil.
The filter cartridge must be replaced at least once a year, and the hydraulic oil must be changed
at least every other year.

5.6 Storage
Perform the daily and monthly maintenance tasks on the firewood processor before storage and oil the
blade and knife lightly (with spray oil, for example) to prevent rust. Store the machine in a place
sheltered from rain. In BE models equipped with the electric starter (accessory), the correct storage of
the battery must also be ensured. If the battery is to be out of operation for an extended period of time,
it must be disconnected from the electric system. In addition, ensure that the battery is fully charged
when placing it in storage. The battery must be stored in a cool and dry space protected from freezing
temperatures.
Conduct the 200 hr maintenance before using the machine again, in order to ensure reliable operation.
