Never pull on
the mains cable!

In the event
the device falls into water, first unplug from the
mains, then remove it from the water! Do not
operate the device after said incident and first
have it inspected by an approved service ad-
dress. This also applies if a mains cable or the
device becomes damaged or the device has
been dropped!

Careful, never
place the mains cable or the device on hot sur-
faces or near sources of heat. Run the mains
cable so it does not come into contact with hot
or sharp-edged objects!

Never kink the
mains cable and do not wrap it around the de-
vice, as this may cause a cable break!

Do not use the
device whilst standing on moist floor or if your
hands or the device are wet!

Never open
the device and never attempt to insert metal
objects into the device!

Therefore use and store the device out of the
reach of children. Children are not aware of the
dangers associated with handling electric appli-
ances. Do not allow the mains cable to dangle
to prevent it from being pulled on.
Repairs must be performed by approved special-
ist workshops. Improperly repaired devices may
be dangerous for the user.
Always connect the device to a properly installed
safety socket with a mains voltage matching the
type plate.
Do not operate the device unattended to prevent
accidents.

add water whilst the device is on the base station!
To prevent hazards, never operate the device
with water or with the safety lid

Be sure never to operate an over- or underfilled
glass kettle. The amount of water added must not
be below the MIN mark in the level indicator

or above the MAX mark. Boiling water may spurt
if overfilled.
Only add clean water to the glass kettle. The
device is not suitable for heating other liquids,
e.g. milk or coffee. The material may be per-
manently damaged.
The glass kettle features a safety function which
switches it off automatically if accidentally op-
erated empty. In this case allow the glass kettle
to cool down before reusing.
Only heat the water in the device once! Empty
all water from the device after boiling. Do not
allow water to sit in the device to prevent stagnant
water, calcium deposits, and algae formation.
The device is not intended for use with an exter-
nal time switch or a separate telecontrol system.
